About Fiddlesticks Cooperative Preschool-
Fiddlesticks Cooperative Preschool was founded in 2003 when Teacher Bobbi, searching for a preschool that truly met the needs of local families, decided to create one herself. A preschool that was low-cost, parent-driven, and family-focused.

We began with just 30 students. Since then, Fiddlesticks has welcomed three additional teachers and nearly 500 children and their families. Each year, a parent-led board of directors helps guide our school, ensuring that Teacher Bobbi’s founding vision continues to thrive.

As a cooperative, our success depends on shared effort, patience, and teamwork. Families, grandparents, and volunteers all play an active role in our classrooms and community. Their dedication helps keep costs low and our sense of connection high — because at Fiddlesticks, time, care, and cooperation are the true currency of our community.

Our Mission
Where play builds confidence, cooperation builds community, and families grow together.

Our Core Values
Cooperation – Families and educators share in decision-making, responsibility, and joy.

Play – Children learn best through hands-on exploration and imaginative play.

Community – We build strong relationships between children, families, and teachers.

Inclusion – Every family and child is valued, respected, and supported.

Growth – We foster lifelong learning—for children, parents, and educators alike.

Our Vision
To cultivate a community where every child’s curiosity is cherished, every family’s voice is heard, and every experience builds the foundation for a lifetime of learning, empathy, and collaboration.
